Writing in the Sand- Ocean theme activity--www.misformonster.com

When I saw this sand activity on Miss Rica’s Kindergarten website, I knew I had to find a way to incorporate it into the Ocean Week Theme. I mean, it was crazy cute and I knew our little monsters would love it!

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

  • sand
  • plate or bucket
  • sea shell printable cards

Spread a thin layer of sand out on the plate or in the bucket. Print off the sea shell cards and write letters, numbers or sight words (or even shapes!) on the card. Have your child pick a card and draw the object in the sand.
