I started a new tradition this year. Kinda spur of the moment, but it was super fun for the kids and somewhat easy for me, so I think we will continue this one.
When putting up the tree this year, I had just made a fresh batch of no bake cookies. (the cookie choice may change seeing how I can’t make a no bake cookie worth anything. But that’s another story…) I kept telling the kids they could have one after we put the tree up because they had to cool.
So we trimmed the tree.
Quinn is so much fun this year. She was totally getting into it and kept screeching at her sister: “BETTY!!! This is going to be the BEST Christmas EVER!” Love.
Trey was hysterical with the stockings. I found him trying to put one on. And he succeeded! LOL . Silly boy.
Betty is 13 this year. Need I say more? ;)
William thought it was huge fun to take off as fast as he could with any ornament he could get his hands on. Great fun!
Even the kitten helped.
Here’s where the new impromptu tradition came in. We finished our tree and the kids grabbed a cookie.
And then sat in front of the tree eating their cookies and admiring their work.
It was crazy cute. I think some of the best traditions are the ones you don’t pre-plan first.
