As I lay here, well past noon (actually almost 4 PM) snuggled up with my two smallest mini monsters as they nap; I realize I haven’t brushed my teeth, showered, or even changed out of my PJ’s today. One may wonder why I am still in my pajamas.
This used to drive me insane, frankly some days it still does. You know what, though, we made memories today. Plus, I don’t think my mini monsters aren’t really going to care about what I wore when they look back on days with Mom. Life as a mom (working or stay at home or anything in between), is challenging, to say the least. Some days it’s about survival, others it’s about making every moment count, and sometimes you throw goldfish at them while they watch their iPads all day.
I recently discovered the quote; “Being a parent is like folding a fitted sheet: Nobody knows how.” Being a mom isn’t about being perfect, it’s about being the best you and enjoying every moment. Even if you stay in your pajamas all day.
So remember at the end of the day, when the kids are in bed, you finally change into clean pj’s & maybe even shower, today was an awesome day.
You rocked it as a mom, still in her PJ’s.
