When the kids come home from school I like to give them a break. I delicious snack and a ‘tell me about your day’ kind of talk. I love hearing about how their days went! I love giving them healthy snacks that are fun but will keep their bellies content until dinner is ready.

A delicious after school snack: Dipped Bananas With Chocolate & Sprinkles. A healthy, quick, & fun snack to keep little bellies full until dinnertime.

These dipped bananas are healthy, fun, and will keep them full until dinner time. Plus, they take only minutes to make for them.

Dipped Bananas: With Chocolate & Sprinkles

Ingredients:

3 bananas
1 cup milk chocolate chips
Small bowl full of sprinkles (The more, the merrier; the more colorful, the more fun!)
Large plate
Wax paper

 

How To Make:

1. Line your plate with wax paper and set aside. Microwave your chocolate chips until completely melted. (Hint: we like to microwave it 20 to 30 seconds at a time, give it a good stir and microwave again. This will make the melted consistency just right.)

2. Peel bananas and cut in half. Once melted, dip the top portion of each banana (about an inch down) into the bowl of chocolate.

3. Put your dipped banana over your bowl of sprinkles. Grab a lot of sprinkles and pour it over the chocolate portion of your banana.

4. Place each banana on wax paper and let it set in the fridge for about 15-20 minutes. Enjoy! Makes 6 banana halves.
