I don’t know about your children, but mine certainly do love “helping” in the kitchen. Having them stir, cut things by using a butter knife and roll out dough is some of their favorite things.

I know Quinn would love to be able to “read” her own recipes and make things on her own but one of the things she has trouble with is knowing where she left off and where to begin again so I decided to create this recipe book that we will add more recipes to in the near future.

First, print out the cover page and let your child add their name to their own book.

Then, print out the recipe pages. The first one is here and is Peanut Butter and Jelly Sushi Rolls .

I then laminated both sheets so if they accidentally got anything on them, they would easily be able to wipe them clean. I also included little check off boxes that your child can use to mark off what ingredients they have and what steps they have done.

Next, hole punch them and place in a binder. Get ready to add more as time goes on! Does your child have a favorite recipe? Let us know and we may make a recipe page using your recipe!
