Making lunches at home can become drab rather quickly, especially on the busy weeks when I don’t have time to prep and plan. So I love when holidays or special days come around because it’s easy to remember I would like to have a special lunch for my kids and me. These heart shaped quesadillas have been the hero of many lunches on special days and I plan to make them again for our Valentine’s Day lunch! Heart Shaped Quesadillas

What You’ll Need:

Heart Shaped Quesadillas Tortillas

Shredded Cheese

Cookie Cutter (We Used A Heart)

Scissors (Optional)

How To Make:

  1. Begin by using your cookie cutter to cut out pieces of your tortilla. (My Kids LOVE doing this part!) To do this, lay your tortilla on a flat hard surface and then place the cookie cutter on top and press down. You will need two hearts to complete one quesadilla. (you can use scissors to cut out the hearts as well if you don’t have a cookie cutter.)
  2. Place one heart on a greased sheet and coat in shredded cheese. Place the other heart on top of it.
  3. Place in oven at 325 degrees for about 3 minutes. Enjoy!

We usually serve these quesadillas with salsa, sour cream and sometimes guacamole. We will add fresh vegetables & dip on the side for a completely special meal. Fun Heart Shaped Quesadillas for a special lunch on Valentine's Day or other important day.   Besides being a perfect lunch for Valentine’s Day I have also served, at my children’s request, on birthdays, last day of school, first day of holiday breaks and sometimes on random weekends!
