  1. Apples: And How They Grow {letter recognition, early reading skills} Read the book by Laura Driscoll

2. Apple Pie Ice Cream {number recognition, color recognition, fine motor} Have your child place the Green Apple Pie on the block that says green, the Red Apple Pie on the Red and the Yellow Apple Pie on the Yellow and glue down. Then glue the correct number of “ice cream balls” on top of the apple pies.

3. Apple Counting Book {number recognition, counting} Recognize the number on the page and place that many apples in the basket.

1. Football Patterning {math skills} Help your child create patterns using the football helmets and footballs.

2. Football Toss Field Goal {gross motor, number recognition} Lay the football field cards out on the floor and have your child throw the football towards the cards. Whichever card it lands on or closer to, have your child shout out the number.

1. Cotton Swab Indian Corn Painting {fine motor, color recognition} Have your child dip the tip of the cotton swab in the paint and put dots on the corn so that it appears like corn kernels.

2. Corn Tracing {letter recognition, fine motor} Bending the Wikki Stix, trace the letters in the word CORN.

1. Pumpkin Patch Letter Hunt {letter recognition, gross motor} Write your child’s name or any word your child would like such as ball or swing and then hide them around the house. Once hidden, give your child clues to look for the pumpkin letters. Once they find them all, help them spelltheir name or favorite thing.

2. Polka Dot Pumpkin {letter recognition, fine motor skills} Have your child use the paint dauber and find all the letter P’s.

3. Tissue Paper Pumpkin {fine motor} Squirt glue all over the plate and have your child rip the tissue paper and stick to the glue. Add the stem on last.
