Chocolate and Vanilla are delicious flavors, I won’t usually pass that up. Sometimes, though, I’m in the mood for something better. Something different. Something with some WOW! Our Maple Syrup Pecan Icing is WOW! It’s easy to whip up, even with your kids. Plus it’s so versatile! We have used it for our cookies and cupcakes or even drizzle it on a coffee cake during the Fall season. Sometimes, all it takes is some good icing to really elevate a dessert. The maple syrup and brown sugar in this recipe makes for the perfect autumn combination, or anytime of the year really!
Maple Syrup & Pecan Creamy Icing Recipe
1 stick butter, softened
2 cups powdered sugar
1-2 tablespoons milk
2 tbsps brown sugar
4 tbsps maple syrup
How To Make Maple Syrup & Pecan Icing
With an electric mixer on low speed, start beating your butter and powdered sugar. Add milk 1 tablespoon at a time.
As the ingredients come together, add your brown sugar and maple syrup. To make the icing more stiff, add one tablespoon of powdered sugar at a time. To soften it up, add milk one tablespoon at a time.
Once you reach your desired consistency, place in a piping bag and use for your favorite cupcakes, cakes and cookies. Top with chopped pecans as garnish.
