JANUARY BOX

Kindergarten theme Bear Week www.misformonster.com

1. The Snowman {word recognition} Read the book by Raymond Briggs. First read the book to your child then ask your child to read it back to you. As they read, have them point to each word as they say it.

2. Build a Snowman {math} Roll the dice and count the dots. Look on the paper and see what to add to your snowman. Keep rolling until you have added all the snowman’s items.

3. If I Lived in a Snowglobe {word recognition, spelling} Have your child draw a picture of what they would do in the snow. Ex: go sledding or build a snowman. When finished, have them write what they would do. ( You can help write them or let them do it by themselves by sounding out the words themselves.) Then, place the fake snow in the middle and glue the clear plate on top of it. Once dry, shake it up and let them see themselves in a snow globe!
