You don’t need a lot of supplies to homeschool preschoolers. You might already be able to find most of what you need around the house such as paper, crayons, etc. Even with all your household items, there will still be a few things you may need to go out and buy if you are planning to homeschool preschool. In my opinion, these 5 items are essential to giving your children a great homeschool experience. So here are my 5 Essential Items For Homeschool Preschool.

5 Items For Homeschool Preschool

Pom Poms

Pom poms are a staple in the preschool classroom. They can be used for school activities such as this ice cream counting activity, making crafts, and creating sensory activities. Pom poms are so versatile, so you’ll want to make sure you pick up a big bag of them.

Our classroom would not be complete without playdough! Whether homemade or store bought, playdough is used often when homeschooling. Playdough is great for crafts and activities as well as STEM projects. Since playdough can be reused, this makes it one of the best classroom items you’ll have at your disposal.

Laminators are perfect for printing off preschool printables. I like to print off my preschool printables ahead of time and laminate them so I can reuse them later. In addition to a laminator, you’ll want to pick up these pouches for them. Here are some of my free preschool printables you can use for your classroom:

We use stickers all the time in the classroom. Whether it’s to reward one of my children for their hard work on an assignment or to put together a craft or activity, we go through a lot of stickers. You can print off your own or pick some up from the store. I like to buy the mega packs to make sure I’m never short on stickers!

What homeschool classroom would be complete without a printer? We use this printer almost every day. You should buy a good quality printer, because as a homeschool parent you’re going to need it. When you are homeschooling, you could be printing 10+ printables a day depending on how far you plan ahead. You may need to print out additional things on the go as well. This printer works great since it will fit just about anywhere in your home, and it it includes wireless printing! Whatever printer you chose, it needs to be a one that will last. This will be one of your most used items.

These items are essential for Homeschool Preschool and my favorites! If you have these, along with the basic paper, crayons, scissors, glue, etc., you are bound to have a successful homeschool preschool. And one last piece of advice is remember that teaching your children does not have to be a chore. Make it fun for both of you and the results will be monumental!
